What is the problem/Where is the problem found?  About 69 million school-age children are not in school  Most of them live in South Asia or Sub- Saharan Africa  80% of the students in Madagascar can not complete school  The majority of people who do not attend school are girls.

How does this problem impact a nation’s ability to grow and develop?  Community suffers due to lack of education  Development undergoes difficulty  Less chance for economic and social welfare  Nations may have a lack of stability

What are the causes of the problem?  Lack of learning resources  Unqualified teachers  High college tuition rates  Poor parenting  Lack of community resources  Developmental and learning disabilities  Lack of interest

How does this problem link to other problems in related areas?  Sick/disabled children are unable to attend school  Poverty affects the educated population  Education can prevent infant and maternal mortality  The problem of gender inequality affects education

Why does this problem continue?  Child labor  Insufficient number of school buildings  Low income for teachers  Distance of the school from where the children live  Low demand for education
