Basic stuff about Islam everyone should know: Allah = Arabic word for the 1 supreme God. It’s the same God worshipped by Abraham and today’s Jews and Christians

Basic values of Islam:

Same as you’d find in Christianity – Devote your life to God (Allah) and practice kindness, forgiveness, charity etc.

Holy Book: The Qur’an (aka Koran)

Muhammad was pretty illiterate, so he kept telling his followers to write down what he told them (his revelations), because he wouldn’t be around forever.
