Which day did Jesus die? The Passover – Jewish day started at sunset. The Feast of Unleavened Bread followed the Passover 1 st day and 7 th day of the feast were special Sabbaths. Leviticus 23:4-8 Jesus was in the grave for three days and three nights Matthew 12:39-40 (Passover) Thursday before night (1 day) (special Sabbath) Thursday night and Friday (1 day and 1 night) (Sabbath) Friday night and Saturday (1 day and 1 night) (1 st day of the week) Saturday night (1 night) Total = 3 days and 3 nights

What does the resurrection prove? That Jesus did pay for all sin.
