 Describe what kids do to learn ◦ Read chapter 2 in their science book ◦ Take a walking tour of the school ◦ Complete a mathematics worksheet

 Describe what kids know or can do as a result of the lesson that they didn’t know or couldn’t do before. ◦ Take a walking tour of the school ◦ During a walking tour of the school, identify examples of evergreen and deciduous trees and describe their differences

 Describe what kids know or can do as a result of the lesson that they didn’t know or couldn’t do before. ◦ Read chapter 2 in their science book ◦ Describe the functions of the liver as: 1.production of bile, which helps carry away waste and break down fats in the small intestine during digestion 2.production of certain proteins for blood plasma 3.production of cholesterol and special proteins to help carry fats through the body 4.conversion of excess glucose into glycogen for storage (This glycogen can later be converted back to glucose for energy.) 5.regulation of blood levels of amino acids, which form the building blocks of proteins 6.processing of hemoglobin for use of its iron content (The liver stores iron.) 7.conversion of poisonous ammonia to urea (Urea is one of the end products of protein metabolism that is excreted in the urine.) 8.clearing the blood of drugs and other poisonous substances 9.regulating blood clotting 10.resisting infections by producing immune factors and removing bacteria from the blood stream

 Describe what kids know or can do as a result of the lesson that they didn’t know or couldn’t do before. ◦ Complete a mathematics worksheet ◦ Solve 12 quadratic equations with 90% accuracy
