Textiles Technology

 You haven’t much money so you have decided to make a gift for a special event using resources that are readily available to you at a low cost

 Design and produce a personalized gift for a special occasion

 The gift will need to be  Specially designed for the person in mind  Appropriate for chosen event  Made from scraps or inexpensive fabric that is readily available  Use a range of fabric, thread and applied design  Completed in the 20 hours available

 Before we make our product we have to do some research.  Activity: In groups of four brainstorm all the different occasions or special events when people give gifts  For example Christmas

 Types of gifts for different occasions  Find other people in the class with the same card as you.  This is your new group  Now for the occasion that is on your card think of all the types of presents you could give.
