Sugarmill Woods Civic Association Rationale for the Requested Change: o End of the current SCP1 is already 400 meters east of the Progress Energy Power Lines and the termination point curves northeast o Movement of this segment of the proposed SCP2 an additional 400 meters east does not impact any private property owners since the land is state owned o Potential cost savings by continuing from the current SCP1 termination point north through the State Forest to the Cardinal Street junction o Provides a natural buffer of native habitat and trees for noise and visual abatement o Eliminates the need for additional state land and the cost to construct a wall and / or large berm to provide the needed noise and visual abatement Sugarmill Woods Civic Association
