Jamestown Founded on May 13, 1607 Colony was funded by a group of wealthy people from London. Colonists struggled to survive and did not get along with the Indians. John Smith was able to make peace with the Indians

Independence Hall Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On July 4, 1776 the Declaration of Independence was signed there. The Declaration of Independence pushed for separation of the 13 Colonies from England.

Valley Forge Located in Pennsylvania. Important during the Revolutionary War. During the winter of George Washington and his men spent the winter here. It was a cold winter. The Colonists created log homes to keep warm.

White House Located in Washington, D.C. Construction began on it in George Washington helped plan the construction of it. Every president accept George Washington lived here.

Battle of Fort McHenry Battle of Fort McHenry occurred on September , The battle had a lot of gunfire. The location where the “Star Spangled Banner” was written. The song was written by Francis Scott Key
