Business case made to Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group. GAP analysis of Adult Autism Team service provision in line with NICE recommendations, to undertake: 1.Primary Care -Training, advice & consultation to primary care services, in particular General Practitioners to support the awareness of ASD and to enable practitioners to identify and symptoms using recommended evidence based tools, for example AQ10. 2.Risk Management - Participate in developing 24 hour Crisis Management plans where appropriate in partnership with other Mental Health services, by providing ASD awareness, training and suggesting reasonable adjustments to care. 3.Mainstream services- to provide support, training and consultation to mainstream mental health services in order to make reasonable adjustments to planned care. 4.Management- Provision of medium to long term post diagnostic therapy, for both service users with a new or an existing diagnosis to include: ASD specific anger management, Anti- victimization, Holistic life skills, CBT for OCD/challenging behavior / depression, Psycho- social interventions i.e. Mindfulness 5.Family/ carer support – provide a local ASD specific support group for family and carers including psycho-social education, individual and group work in partnership with local voluntary sector. 6.Supporting early transition (CG 170) - To work in partnership with colleagues in CAMHS services to identify individual needs and support the early transition of young people with Autism into appropriate Adult Services.
