GOD’S TWO LAWS OF PARDON

Man’s Universal Need - Forgiveness  Forgive – “to send away, the remission of the punishment due to sinful conduct, to dismiss or release” (Vine’s).  Pardon – “to release a person from further punishment of a crime” (Webster’s).

1. Alien Sinners  An “alien sinner” is one who is not yet a citizen of God’s kingdom; one who is outside of Christ. A non-Christian.

1. Alien Sinners  Believe John 8:24  RepentLuke 13:3  Confess ChristMatthew 10:32  Be Baptized Mark 16:16

1. Alien Sinners  Believe John 8:24  RepentLuke 13:3  Confess ChristMatthew 10:32  Be Baptized Mark 16:16 Through obedience to the Gospel the alien sinner enters Christ and becomes a child of God, a citizen in the kingdom of God (Gal. 3:26-27).

What is God’s Second Law of Pardon?  Is it another way an alien sinner can be forgiven?  Is it for those who don’t want to be baptized?  Is it the gospel for the Gentiles, indicating different terms of admission than for the Jews (specifically, indicating baptism is not necessary – as per “Mid- Acts Dispensationalism”)?

2. Erring Christians  It is possible for a Christian to sin, wander from the truth, and put his soul in eternal jeopardy (James 5:19-20).  If, instead of walking in the light, we walk in darkness, we do not have access to the forgiveness of our sins (1 John 1:6-7).

2. Erring Christians  Confess our sins1 John 1:9-10  Repent of our sinsActs 8:22  Pray for forgivenessActs 8:22

Are You In Need Of Pardon?  Believe in Jesus  Repent of your sins  Confess your faith  Be baptized  Confess your sin to God  Repent of your sins  Pray for forgiveness Non-ChristianChristian
