Summary The story Middle School The Worst Years Of My Life is about Rafe, and his long journey through middle school. Rafe find a world of detentions, bullies, love, and a lot of fun. Rafe is a boy just starting out middle school. The first day. The most exciting day of the year! Rafe’s day starts out with the printable, Mrs. Stricker going over all the rules for Hill’s Village Middle School. Rafe hatches a great idea! To break every rule in the hand book! Rafe pulls his first rule- pulling the fire alarm! Rafe pulls it off, and no one found out it was him! This day was to good to be true though. He comes face to face with the school bully! Miller the Killer! Miller now has his eye on Rafe, and Rafe has to keep an eye out for Miller, before he catches Rafe by surprise. Rafe meets a girl, name Jeanne. Rafe, is in love with her, and he is trying his best to impress her. Rafe pulls off a couple more rules, and coming with those rules broken, are a couple detentions. Rafe lives with his Jules(his Mom), Georgia(his sister), and Bear (His almost step dad). Jules works at the diner called Swifty and Bear just sleeps all day, and does what ever he wants. That is why Rafe calls him Bear. His idea, when he breaks all the rules, is called Operation R.A.F.E. For Rafe’s rules broken, and for the detentions, Rafe is in his room grounded. He almost always is. Rafe has been stealing Bear's Zoom, a type of soda that he is sealing to the school. Bear isn’t noticing, and never will. Rafe's crush, Jeanne Galleta, has invited Rafe to go to a charity event with her. The only bad part- he has to dress up in a gigantic turkey costume! Rafe gets mad at Jeanne, for only inviting Rafe to the event, so he could change into a good person. She wanted to make Rafe a better person, but Rafe took it the wrong way. Rafe is in trouble again. Jules is going over a conference about Rafe’s grades. Nothing is over a D-. Mrs. Stricker announced that Rafe needs a tutor. That wasn’t even the worst part. Rafe’s tutor was Jeanne. Rafe goes to Swifty’s diner and found Jules crying. She was crying, because she was sad about that Rafe wasn’t doing well in school, and she felt like Rafe wasn’t trying. Rafe couldn’t bear to see Jules cry. Rafe finally put down his foot and said to himself, “We will be taking a break, for Operation R.A.F.E. Not forever though. Just for a couple weeks, to just try to be normal and actually try in school. Only for Jules though. A couple of weeks turned in to months. Then, Rafe, the good student, got caught by Miller the Killer. Even worse, Rafe had his note book, for Operation Rafe and Miller stole it. He wouldn’t give it back, only a dollar per page. Then I had to start Operation R.A.F.E. Some I got some paint, and made a master piece on the wall of the school. There was a talk of suspension, but Jules hasn’t gone to the conference yet. I had to make the money, fast so I could get my special notebook. That is when Zoom came in. I grabbed some packs, and sold them all. I eventually got the $70 dollars. I gave it to Miller, and gave it to me in an envelope. It was Jules who looked at it fist. It was to late though. I heard a yell, and me and Georgia ran down stairs. We found Bear, pushing Jules down. Her arm was in pain. I told Georgia to call 911, and she did. Jules said it was just “a little” push, but we knew that it hurt a lot. The ambulance came, and said that her wrist was broken. The marriage was finally over, and Jules didn’t have to work double shifts for to pay for Bear. Here comes the conference. They said there was a suspension, and that’s when Mrs. Donatello came in. She had a art school brochure. Rafe was surprised when she said, “Rafe has an artistic talent.” Rafe now goes to art school, and is happy now. That is my summary for Middle School- The Worst Years Of My Life.
