IS YOUR FOOD SAFE?

Food is an important component of daily life, but if not taken hygienically, can lead to food poisoning. We prepare healthy and tasty food for our family, taking care of all the nutritional requirement, but still our family suffers from loose motions, vomiting, stomachache, fever and abdominal cramps and at last we need to pay a lump-sum amount to physicians.

Health care at home has taken an initialization for Health awareness to all public, especially to deal with seasonal diseases. With whatever disease you and your family is suffering from, now it can be treated and prevented by sitting at home only.

Foodborne illness/infection is a common, costly— yet preventable—public health problem. Each year, 1 in 6 Americans gets sick by consuming contaminated foods or beverages. In India, it is a serious health hazard causing large number of mortality and morbidity. This is usually either infectious or toxic in nature caused by contamination of food through microorganisms, enter the body through the ingestion of food. With increase in industrialization, urbanization, tourism and mass catering these illnesses are on increase throughout the world.

Diseases like Typhoid, Diarrhea, Dysenteries, Food poisoning, viral hepatitis, Gastritis etc. can be prevented by applying following in your life style-KEEP CLEAN.

Keep hands clean, thoroughly wash your hands before and after cooking. Eat properly cooked food as raw food gives birth to diseases. Eatables to be handles properly, wash vegetables thoroughly before cutting. Personal hygiene to be maintain like trim nails, cover your hair, while cooking

Clean utensils properly, unclean utensils provides favourable area for microorganisms to grow. Leave food at suitable temperature, store them in refrigerator. Educate food handlers regarding dish washing, food handling, checking expiry dates on packets.

Avoid coughing, sneezing, smoking, licking during food handling. Neat overalls to be worn during cooking.

Food is a potential source of infection and is liable to contamination by microorganisms, at any point during its journey, from its production to the one who eat it. Food hygiene is very important aspect in everyone’s life. It is essential to take steps in order to prevent food infections. Doing a little can make a big difference in your, and your loved ones lives. Be Safe and stay healthy by applying “KEEP CLEAN” rules.
