All About Me As a teacherAs a human

This year in we will…

 Learn together  Laugh together  Explore together  Accomplish together  Make mistakes together  Create memories together

AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.

“Missing Puzzle Pieces” Directions  Each of you will receive a card with part of an image on it.  Your job will be to find the other students in the class that have the other pieces to complete your “puzzle”.  Your group will also need to find the table that has the remaining puzzle piece. This will be your new seat for the day!

Once you’re in your group:  Spend a minute or two talking with one another about your current feelings about AVID and being back to school.

Ahhh…finally a little quiet time in the day  In the middle of your table, you will see a stack of cardstock and have been given some art supplies. It’s time to make a Name Tent!

“Name Tent” Directions 1) Fold your Comment Card (plain side facing up). 2) You will be working with the plain side of the card. 3) Directions will be given. Do the same to BOTH sides of the card. 4) 5 minutes to complete TEACHER NOTE: Switch to Elmo
