Classroom Expectations ◦ Follow all Manhasset Secondary School Rules ◦ Come to class prepared and be in your assigned seat ready to begin class when the first bell rings ◦ Cell phones should be off and away throughout class ◦ All work, homework, class work, tests, labs and projects should be a student’s own work

Classroom Expectations ◦ Students are responsible for recording daily homework assignments in planner ◦ Be respectful towards one another and do not talk while others are talking ◦ Follow all safety guidelines including keeping all aisles clear of backpacks. ◦ Mature, responsible behavior is expected of all students ◦ NO food or drink in the science classrooms

Grades Final Grade  Average of the four quarter grades (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) and the cumulative final exam. The final exam will count as 11% of the final course grade. Quar ter Grades  Tests & Projects40%  Quizzes10%  Labs 25%  Homework15%  Class Participation10%

Absences ◦ Work not completed due to absences must be made up. You will have one extra day to complete and hand in missed classwork and/or homework for each day of absence. ◦ Missed exams/quizzes will be taken the day you return, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Please note: It is the student’s responsibility to make up missing assignments in a timely manner
