Parent and Teacher Communication I am available before and after school from 7am-3:30pm.  is the fastest way to get a response  If you would like a call back please request this through .  One-on-one conferences can also be arranged.  Group conferences have to be scheduled with the guidance counselor Ms. Kirker –

Student and Teacher Communication  Students needing additional help can schedule a day after school.  If a student needs to make up work (classwork, quiz, or test) please have them schedule a day after school.

C0urse Description The study of American history from the Exploration and Colonization period to the Reconstruction Period following the Civil War. The purpose of this course is to enable students to understand the development of the United States, within the context of history by examining connections to the past, the relationship between cause and effect in historical events, and the resulting impact on world history. Students will use knowledge pertaining to history, geography, economics, political processes, religion, ethics, diverse cultures, and humanities to solve problems in academic, civic, and social settings.

Classroom Expectations Be on time Be prepared Be respectful Be responsible for own work Warnings, Parent Contact, Detentions, Referral Late work is accepted with 10% deducted per day. After 10 school days it will no longer be accepted.

Classroom Procedures & Supplies Ruled paper (college or wide depends on your preference) Pencils, pens (blue or black ink, and red) Markers, colored pencils, sharpener, eraser, highlighters. 1 inch 3-Ring Binder (Bell Work, Vocabulary, Classwork, Notes, Homework & Handouts 6 Page dividers labeled* 4th and 5th period classes will need an additional notebook section for R.E.A.D There will be a weekly binder check. Homework will be checked on due date.
