What is the Home Use Program? The Home Use Program (HUP) benefit allows organizations to offer their employees a way to buy the latest version of Microsoft Office for their home devices at the reduced price of $9.95 USD. HUP is a Microsoft Software Assurance (SA) benefit, available through Microsoft Volume Licensing. This is a download-only offer. Purchase does not include a boxed product.

Eligible employees are allowed to purchase one license of either: Office Professional Plus 2016, or Office Home and Business 2016 for Mac Depending on an organization’s licensing agreement with Microsoft, employees may also be eligible to purchase one each of other products available, usually: Project Professional 2016 Visio Professional 2016

The Home Use Program (HUP) is a Microsoft Software Assurance benefit, available through Microsoft Volume Licensing. Depending on your organization’s Microsoft licensing agreement, employees may be eligible to access additional Microsoft software, such as Project Professional 2016 or Visio Professional Typically, if your company has Software Assurance, each license of the desktop applications listed at right that you purchase will result in a single license for the corresponding Home Use Program software, to be installed on one device (either a PC or a Mac, specific to the software purchased). Academic Select (without SAM), Academic Select Plus (without SAM), and Academic Open programs are not eligible for this benefit.
