Introduction Overview of the actions to be launched and/or completed in 2010 Basis for coordinated effort to address regional challenges and ensuring progress in achieving Parntership’s objectives Builds on the 2003 Oslo Declaration Takes into consideration the prevailing policy context and circumstances The first step in implementing the new NDPHS Strategy

NDPHS Work Plan for 2010 Action lines (1) Action Line 1: Continuing the orientation on policies, strategies and projects  Partnership as a forum for development of policies, coordination of actions and development / facilitation of projects Action Line 2: Strengthening a two-fold approach towards health and social well-being  Partnership to scale up its efforts to strengthen the social well-being facet within the NDPHS Action Line 3: Implementing the NDPHS goals and mid-term operational targets (OTs), and monitoring the progress in the implementation of the OTs (Annex 1)  Development of Terms of Reference for new/restructured Expert Groups  NDPHS’ role as a Lead Partner for the Health sub-area in the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region

NDPHS Work Plan for 2010 Action lines (2) Action Line 4: Setting up new and restructuring the existing Expert Groups and their subsequent launching  Expert-level framework of the Partnership to be adjusted to the new NDPHS Strategy Action Line 5: Ensuring coordination of regional efforts to fight trafficking in human beings  Continuation of yearly informal meetings regarding coordination of fight against trafficking in human beings within the ND area Action Line 6: Providing adequate funding for the NDPHS and Partnership- relevant activities and projects  Ensuring that funding be available for the NDPHS Expert Groups and the Secretariat  Financing of project-based activities: the NDPHS Appropriations Account (micro- financing) and funding from the outside of the Partnership’s own framework  Mobilization of resources for the NDPHS Project Pipeline
