Lau Resource Center Disseminates information and responds to school district/community school inquiries regarding their responsibilities for English Learners Provides training, technical assistance and resources to help school district/community school personnel meet their responsibilities Promotes collaboration among families, educators, communities and all persons who work with linguistically and culturally diverse students

English Learners Students whose native language is other than English and where the inability to speak and understand the English language excludes them from effective participation in the educational program. Approximately 50,000 Ohio ELs (2015)
