State of Ohio College Credit Plus HB 59, the FY14-15 biennial budget bill, required that the Chancellor make recommendations for College Credit Plus by December 31, 2013 for implementation in the school year. The Chancellor’s recommendations were included in HB 487 but did not begin until the school year. Three types of CC+ – Type 1: High school teacher at high school location – Type 2: CSCC instructor at high school location – Type 3: CSCC instructor on College Campus or Online 3

Overview of Ohio College Credit Plus 4 College Credit Plus (CCP) is an opportunity for qualified high school students to earn college credit before graduating high school. Free of charge to public school students with limited funds available by application for non-public and home-schooled students The state covers tuition, books, and fees from the per pupil funding allotted to the school district Students are eligible for up to 30 credit hours per academic year for up to 120 credit hours maximum between grades 7-12

State legislation specific to Ohio. 6 Dual Enrollment in Ohio began in 1989 through the Postsecondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEO).The purpose of Dual Enrollment is a programmatic way to expose our future leaders to an opportunity in higher education. Education beyond K-12 with encouraging student to perform at a college ready level being highly recruited.
