The first slide serves the same purpose as the executive summary of a business plan:  Introduce the product or service  Describe the competitive advantage of the product or service  Explain the business model Introduce your business with a persuasive brief summary of your business model and competitive advantage Using photographs or clip art will make your presentation more visually interesting and pull in readers’ interest.

Explain your research into the history and trends in your industry and market. Describe the industry, competitors, and marketplace in which your company will operate A timeline, graph, or table might help you show useful information about the industry history or your competitors.

Explain your company’s organizational plan, and introduce your managers and their qualifications Who are the partners in the business? What is their relevant experience? Using a table can help you visually show the names and experience of your business’s owners.

Your financials are the backbone of your business plan.  Your income statement shows costs and expenses  Explain when and how your business will make a profit Show your financial projections, and include your profit and loss worksheet (your income statement) Revenue$ Expenses$$$$$$ Net profit$$$$

What are the most likely and relevant risks to your success as a new venture? Assess the risks in your business proposal that threaten the company’s capability of achieving profit and success Using photos, making a list, or creating a chart may help you visually show the risks.

 Provide any other evidence, research, or information that helps persuade the audience.  Ask for questions and be prepared to think on your feet. Conclude by summarizing the key points of your presentation and asking for audience support
