Office Expectations

What does the Office Staff do?  Help students, parents, & staff  Answer phones & questions  Input information into the computer  Paperwork: discipline, attendance  Order materials & supplies

Being RESPECTFUL Means: Honoring the rights or wishes of the office staff.

Wait in a single file line  Stand in a single file line  Do not interrupt conversations: phone or in person

Use polite language  Look adults in the eye when speaking  Say “Please” and “Thank you”

to adults only when directed to do so Talk to adults only when directed to do so  Do not talk to others while you waiting

POSITIVE CONSEQUENCE S respectful  We are going to be looking for students who are being respectful in the office!

Being RESPONSIBLE Means:  Going directly to and from the office with a pass. GO AWAY! Where’s your PASS?!

Wait patiently for your turn  Be silent  Do not listen to other’s conversation  Do not add to other’s conversation  Do not comment on peer’s business

State your purpose politely  Walk up to the counter when it is your turn  Use your inside voice  Listen to staff directions

Responsible  We are going to be looking for students who are being Responsible in the office! POSITIVE CONSEQUENCE S

Being SAFE Means: Following office expectations so you will be less likely to get hurt or hurt others.

Keep Hands, Feet, & Objects to Self  Respect other’s personal space  Ask permission before touching office supplies  Keep materials to yourself

While Seated  Keep both feet on the floor
