Linje Rivers: Senior Attorney and Volunteer

Linje Rivers is an up and coming attorney from Tallahassee, Florida. He received his law degree from the University of Florida in He previously attended Morehouse College for his undergraduate degree in He currently works at the Florida Office of Financial Regulation as a Senior Attorney, Assistant Counsel. Previous Work Linje Rivers has also worked for the Florida Department of Financial Services where he was also a Senior Attorney. He was immediately assigned to the prosecution and enforcement section of the Division of Legal Services. He was able to present cases before the Florida District Courts of Appeals, Division of Administrative Hearings, and the Board of Funeral, Cemetery and Consumer Services as a part of his job. In 2007 he worked briefly as a summer associate for the law firm of Matthews, Eastmore, Hardy, Crauwel, Garcia.

Volunteer Work Linje Rivers has frequently volunteered for various organizations. He has volunteered many times with Habitat for Humanity. He cares deeply for the homeless and less fortunate. Beginning in 2007, he began volunteering with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program helps those with low incomes have help from certified professionals to file their taxes properly. At one point, Linje Rivers was the Volunteer Student Coordinator for the VITA program. He is also a member of the board of the Legal Aid Foundation in Tallahassee. He is currently serving as Treasurer for the Legal Aid Foundation as well. The Legal Aid Foundation that Mr. Rivers participates in provides those who can’t otherwise afford legal counsel with certain legal situations.

Career Path Linje Rivers is a very motivated and professional man. He feels like he is making a difference with his current place as Senior Attorney at the Florida Office of Financial Regulation. He hopes to continue working for the government. He wants to eventually find himself as General Counsel for a large State or Federal government agency.
