“Quotation” and Explanation Pick a quote from Slides 1-6 located above and in your own words explain what it means. (HINT: “in your own words” means taking what you have read and writing what you think about it... What you think its message is...)

“Quotation” and Explanation Quote Meaning – “in your own words” (2 sentences)

Evaluation /1 for Choice /2 for what it means /2 for what does it show about love and who some one is...

Peer Relationships: i.e. Associates Definition: A person of the same age, status, or ability as another specified person. A person who has equal standing with another or others, as in rank, class or age

What people think about peers and identity is... “I’m not in this world to live up to your expectations and you’re not in this world to live up to mine.” ― Bruce LeeBruce Lee “Most people are not really free. They are confined by the niche in the world that they carve out for themselves. They limit themselves to fewer possibilities by the narrowness of their vision.” ― V.S. NaipaulV.S. Naipaul

What people think about peers and identity is... “My peers, lately, have found companionship through means of intoxication - it makes them sociable. I, however, cannot force myself to use drugs to cheat on my loneliness - it is all that I have - and when the drugs and alcohol dissipate, will be all that my peers have as well.” – Franz Kafka

What people think about peers and identity is... “I was considered by my peers to be a good comedian. So that's all I ever strived to do was get some recognition from my peers.” – Ron White “My peers say I have made a difference. That means more to me than winning an Oscar.” – Conrad Hall

What people think about peers and identity is... “If you let society and your peers define who you are, you're the less for it.” – Hugh Hefner “I sort of look at some peers of mine and I think, 'No, you've got it all wrong!' I just want to tell them all to have babies and be happy and not get sucked into that Hollywood thing.” – Gwyneth Paltrow

Sometimes the things your peers say are the things that you, yourself, start to believe. Once you believe them, it is as if they are painted on for all the world to see.

Activity In your diagram handout, list 10 positive things about yourself as an individual and as a friend. Feel free to color it in, give it some fashion, and/or make it look like you in some way.
