Hazen2 AMC13 Progress ● First 2 assembled boards due tomorrow ● Will test through remainder of August, finish production in early Sept. – Still some parts problems to complete the final 10 (parts were in stock, but disappeared while awaiting $$$) ● Test firmware (initially to support HCAL tests) underway ● Documentation at T1 T2 T3

Hazen3 Other Items ● TTCrx-FPGA spinoff project is official: ● A reference design by Wu is posted there ● DAQ link using two SFP+ outputs from AMC13 to Xilinx SP605 PCIe eval board under development ● Simple protocol designed to handle BER with negligible performance developed ● Tested extensively with simulated errors ● Will present to CMS DAQ group as an example

E. Hazen4 DAQ Interface Upgrade ● We're inventing a simple fiber-based protocol for DAQ for AMC13 hardware testing (and possible HCAL TB use). This protocol will use two fibers per AMC13 (two HCAL FEDs). ● Initial testing starting soon (this week?) using HCAL DTC board and Xilinx SP605 PCIe eval board ● This board will be mounted in a PC with at least some software support (by us) for PCIe readout of DAQ data ● We will happily participate in meeting with the DAQ group to discuss a longer-term solution.
