Grid Technology Announcements: lcg-CA releases Middleware Update - M. Alandes Pradillo No more lcg-CA releases. This is now done by EGI. There’s a new IGTF distribution 1.38, and this will be done only by EGI. gLite will update the Installation and Configuration guide to include the necessary details: – – We are still discussing what to do with the old lcg-CA repository.

Grid Technology gLite 3.1 retirementstatus The 3.1 retirement calendar is available in: – The following services were phased out since the last GDB: –glite-BDII –glite-GLEXEC_wn –glite-LB –glite-SCAS –glite-TORQUE_server –glite-TORQUE_client  Note the difference between torque-client package and the glite-TORQUE_client metapackage, as clarified in LCG-ROLLOUT. 3.1 CREAM retirement calendar was re-scheduled. –Security updates until the end of February. Grid Technology gLite Releases - CREAM glite-CREAM –3.2 glite-CREAM 1.6.4: In Production since today Feedback collected from last GDB triggered this release. We agreed that it should be ready some weeks before the new LHC run. Thanks to CREAM PT, IT-PES, IT-GT and EGI the release is now in Staged Rollout as planned (no problems encountered so far). It contains bug fixes related to operational issues that will allow for a more stable and reliable CREAM CE. –3.1 glite-CREAM 1.6.3: In Production since Last release in gLite 3.1. –3.2 glite-CREAM 1.7: In Progress. Scheduled for End of March. Same contents as EMI-1 release (Argus integration + Bug fixes). Middleware Update - M. Alandes Pradillo

Grid Technology gLite Releases – lcg-CE Middleware Update - M. Alandes Pradillo lcg-CE –3.1 lcg-CE : In Staged Rollout. Bug fixes and possibility to be installed with glite-CLUSTER. –Retirement of lcg-CE already discussed with EGI after the last GDB The following agenda has been proposed: –New CREAM solves operational issues. Service is now in good shape to be deployed. –Availability calculations in SAM/Nagios are expected to be fixed by the end of March so that CREAM is considered for availabilities. –At the end of March we could evaluate the status of CREAM. –We can then be in a good position to define a realistic retirement calendar for lcg-CE.

Alandes Pradillo glite-CLUSTER –New node type that allows the configuration information related to the batch system environment to be separated from the configuration related to the job submission interface. See Technical Note with all details in: –3.1 glite-CLUSTER 3.1.4: In Staged Rollout It can be deployed together with lcg-CE or in a different host. –3.2 glite-CLUSTER 3.2.2: In Staged Rollout. Integration with CREAM NOT available. Manual steps described in the release notes so that it can be integrated with CREAM.

Grid Technology gLite Releases – DPM/LFC Middleware Update - M. Alandes Pradillo LFC –3.2 LFC_mysql/oracle In Production since today. DPM –3.2 DPM_disk/DPM_mysql In production since Releases of DPM/LFC –In Staged Rollout since November –No sites available for SR. –Proposal to EGI -> Move this to Production in any case to be able to complete the 3.1 retirement calendar. Next release only planned for EMI-1 for the time being. –Small increment wrt to –Not yet decided whether it will be released in gLite 3.2.

Grid Technology gLite Releases – FTS/FTA/FTM Middleware Update - M. Alandes Pradillo FTS/FTA/FTM –Release 2.2.5: Several Patches. Removal of VOMS server certificates dependency gLite 3.2 patches: In Certification. gLite 3.1 patches: In Certification. –Last 3.1 Release. –3.2 Release 2.2.6: In preparation. Same contents as EMI-1 release.

Grid Technology gLite Releases – WMS/LB Middleware Update - M. Alandes Pradillo LB –3.2. glite-LB and In Production since today. Minor fixes and bug fixes needed by WMS 3.3. WMS –3.2 glite-WMS 3.3: In Progress. No blocking issues after problems with gpt, gridsite and others. Scheduled by the end of February.

Resource BDII –An update will be also prepared to fix Glue 2.0 issues.

Alandes Pradillo TORQUE_utils, TORQUE_client, TORQUE_server –New torque to be integrated in gLite. –Best effort by Nikhef. –Release under preparation. Torque packages are now built. Missing configuration changes in YAIM. Metapackages need to be created as well. –Deadline now met but not ready. –Don’t have more news... CONDOR_utils –Release to have CONDOR_utils in SL5. –Best effort by PIC. –No real progress on this. –Developers contacted and answered they will work on this. (?) –But patch created in
