Dominique Bodart TE/MSC/MNC TE/MSC/MNC Magnets concerned by the study  Magnets to be upgraded: –3 +1 Linac type IX ( see also edms Situation of the Type IX Quadrupoles for 5Hz Operation: ITF.QFN ) –8+1 Linac type VII –Preliminary budget estimation: Linac IX magnet upgrade: 20 kCHF/magnet, 80 KCHF Linac VII magnet upgrade: 25 kCHF/magnet, 225 kCHF Total: 305 kCHF, fixtures, cabling, alignment, magnetic measurement, interlock to be included to get the global picture

Dominique Bodart TE/MSC/MNC TE/MSC/MNC Conclusions –Magnets number concerned by the upgrade needs to be verified between working sets and PC inventory –Limited available documentation to perform the evaluation –Two magnet types are identified to be upgraded –Preliminary budget estimate for the Linac VII &IV magnets is 305 kCHF –Total budget picture for magnet and auxiliaries is to be evaluated –Spare magnets procurement of the Linac3, Ion Beam Line, Leir shall be considered in order not to manufacture magnets not eligible for the 10 Hz upgrade
