Presentation transcript:

1 st Block Student Example Veronica and her mother were close up until she turned 17. Her mom was diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away within the year. Veronica didn’t have anyone to turn to. Her father wasn’t around. Her grandparents passed away when she was young, and other family members were just not that interested. With all her stress, she didn’t pass her last semester of high school, failing English and math. With that, she became very anti-social toward her friends.

1. I want to know if depression runs in Veronica’s family. 2. I want to know if the lack of friends and caring family members contribute to her depression and isolation. 3. I want to know how Veronica’s personality has changed since her mother passed away. 4. I want to know if the fact of her father/family members not being around since childhood caused her to be anti-social. 5.I want to know if her motivation and learning skills have been affected from the stress. 6. I want to know if the fact that her mother passed away and her family members are absent, makes Veronica believe that no one cares. 7. I want to measure how Veronica’s personality and abilities have changed since her mother’s death.
