Passengers’ profiles - Conclusions This season, the socio-demographic composition of passengers has changed compared to Q according to the following aspects: The proportion of Hungarian passengers increased more in the Q2 of 2010 compared to in the preceding quarter However, differences among terminals regarding citizenship remained: the proportion of Hungarian passengers is greatest at T1, correlating with the usage of discount airlines The proportion of passengers with a higher social status increased at T2A due to an increase of Hungarians As in the case of previous quarters, there are fewer passengers with a higher social status at T1 terminals in comparison with T2A/B - and not only because of higher rate of Hungarians; foreigners’ social status is also lower here

Characteristics of air journeys - Conclusions In the second quarter of 2010 seasonal changes most affected the nature of air journeys at T2A. The composition of trips had changed slightly, though the amount of business trips remained quite significant at T2 terminals. This season: more passengers were travelling accompanied by someone at T2A, compared to Q passengers at T2A had fewer experiences regarding Budapest Airport than was the situation before (in Q1 2010) due to an increase in the share of holiday-makers at T2A, online ticket purchasing via an airline’s website significantly decreased owing to the increasing share of holiday-makers; while two other options became more relevant - online on a travel agency site, or personally/via phone at a travel agency. At T2B, more passengers got their ticket personally/via phone at a travel agency
