Once upon a time, In a far away land, there lived a boy who didn’t care about the trees. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
His mother would always teach him the importance of trees. She told her son that the trees gives us oxygen to breathe, food to eat and a lot more. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
But the boy, didn’t listen. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
The boy liked to stomp on seedlings and plants. “Oxygen you say? Look, I can still breathe!” said the boy while destroying the plants. And the trees saw it all. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
The boy liked to waste vegetables and only ate meat. “Burgers don’t grow on trees!” said the boy while throwing away his vegetables. And the trees saw it all. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
One night, when the boy was deep asleep, the trees agreed to teach the naughty boy a lesson. “Lets get into his dream and show him what it would be like without us!” the tree exclaimed. And so they did. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
Inside the boy’s dream, he is still destroying plants. He is very happy seeing them crushed to the ground. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
In an instant, all of the trees around him withered. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
It started to get hot, the rivers went dry and all of the animals died. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014 The boy had no meat nor food to eat.
The air became dry and….. soon the boy could not breathe! R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
He was shouting in his bed, “Mummy, Mummy!” cried the little boy. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014 His mother went quickly to his aid and calmed him down.
“It was all a dream, Son,” his mother said with a soft voice. “I'm sorry, Mum. I promise not to destroy the plants anymore,” said the scared young boy. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
The boy was soon planting trees and taking care of them from the bottom of his heart. He learned his lesson and never again destroyed any plants for the rest of his life. R. B. Solis, personal communication, August 12, 2014
