Netherlands Initiative for Capacity Development in Higher Education - NICHE Netherlands Fellowship Programmes - NFP  Commissioned by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the budget for development co-operation  Administered by the Netherlands organisation for international co-operation in higher education (Nuffic)  Service delivery by Dutch providers 2

3 NICHE and NFP objectives The NICHE programme contributes to sustainable strengthening of higher education and TVET capacity in partner countries, thus contributing to economic development and the reduction of poverty; 15 partner countries. The NFP aim to increase the supply of skilled labour; 51 countries. Instruments for embassy’s bilateral cooperation programme.

Dutch development cooperation policy priorities: Water Food security Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Security and the rule of Law NICHE pays special attention to equal opportunities for women and men, and the link between capacity developments and the needs of the labour market.
