Programming Update Youth & Family Resource Network of Essex County Jenna Foley, Executive Director

Vision Statement Supporting Communities Building Futures Mission Statement Supporting and strengthening Essex County through locally- driven services, advocacy, and strategic community partnerships.

Current Programs Community Nourishment Partnership – Community Garden – Community Kitchens – Nutrition Workshops THRIVE – Housing support for all ages – Youth Transitional Support Workers – Trusteeship Affordable Housing – 11 units in Leamington on Talbot Street E – 2 units of transitional housing Neighbours Helping Neighbours

Current Programs Harrow Youth Centre – After School Program – Recreation and education programs – Camps and community engagement Leamington After School Program – Just launched at Queen of Peace School KEYS Voices of Youth in Community (VOYC) – 2 nd annual Dodgeball FUNraising tournament in March 2014 Bikesmart – BikeSAFE – Around the County Challenge

Outcome Measurement In 2012, we surpassed 10,000 people impacted across Essex County – That is more than 27 people every single day of the year To date in 2013, the garden has generated over 1700 pounds of organic produce for families in need with more to come From May 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013, we assisted 127 people access emergency shelter at the Wigle Motel 15 youth participated in the VOYC year-end retreat, held at Camp Henry and dedicated to raising self-esteem Bikesmart collected 219 unwanted bicycles in 2012, creating affordable transportation and job skills training for youth
