Zator's ponds are several complexes old (700 years) of fish ponds which are located in the upper valley of the Vistula, the River Skawa flows through the area as well. In most parts of the ponds management is pleased with for birds watches. Along some dikes we can move even a car. Ponds are a great place for bird watching wetlands. They are one of the few nesting sites Night Heron in Poland, where it is easy to observe.

Welcome to Fishery Fishing Podolsze Fishery Fishing Podolsze is located on the route Zator-Smolice. It consists of four water reservoirs with a total area of 16 ha of water surface. The largest of these is a reservoir with an area of about 10 hectares, smaller has got less than 2 ha, and the other two ponds of 1 ha. Reservoirs were created after the exploitation of gravel, so that the depth varies from 2-14m. It creates the possibility of different fish stocks, which feels good in crystal clear water, with different temperature and degree of oxygenation.

The main function of the pounds is of course fish farming. Despite competition from exotic species in the area of Zator carp are cultured and well-functioning project 'Carp Valley' can serve as a model of cooperation of local governments, environmental organisations and fish farmers.

Skawa flows into the Vistula River near the village Smolice, just behind the barrage located there being a part of the Upper Vistula River Waterway.
