River Source River Source ~The starting point of a river *The river enters the gulf from the river source at the river mouth.

Gulf ~ An arm a sea or ocean partly enclosed by land; larger than a bay Gulf ~ An arm of a sea or ocean partly enclosed by land; larger than a bay

Island Island ~A body of land that is completely surrounded by water

Peninsula Peninsula ~A body of land that is surrounded by water on three sides

Bay Bay ~A body of water that extends into the land

Archipelago Archipelago ~ another name for a group of islands

Isthmus Isthmus ~ A natural strip of land, bordered by water, which connects two larger masses of land

Strait Strait ~ A narrow channel of water connecting two larger bodies of water

Canal Canal ~ Another name for an artificial waterway

Cape Cape ~ a tip or point of land that extends into the water
