Vision of the foundation of the River Shipping Museum is that through inspiring museum conception, dynamic and varied program, great number of Museum arrangements, develops into one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the region in the future, that will finance itself in one great portion. Mission Education and rising awareness with the people regarding tradition connected to sailing, shipping and shipbuilding that had been present in this region from prehistoric time, importance to perceive it and to continue it in the modern life. Basic Aim of the existence of the Museum of River Shipping is comprehensive work on protection, studying and presentation to the public various aspects of sailing, shipping and shipbuilding. Studying of the history and development of those fields as well as all segments and problems dealing with the sailing and history of navigation on the rivers of Danube river basin will provide with attractive presentation exceptional contribution in lighting up and emphasizing the important role that sailing with all other society segments had in the past.
