School before the 60 th

Dress code At the end of the 19 th century and the beging of 20 th century, the dress code suited for students was particular: girls wore a blue apron and a white collared dress, and in case they went for a walk, the had to wear a white blouse and blue skirt. Everythink else was forbidden.

All the boys should have really short haircufs and wear nats. The students should be showered with proper haircuts and clean cut nails. If when the teacher checked them one of the above wasn't observed, then, the careless student was hit on the outer side of the palm, where it hurt the most, as a punishment

Wearing shoes was luxury for the students, these days. Therefore, most of the children went to school burefoot.

School relationships between teachers and students ● School relationships between teachers and students during the beginning of 20 th century were kind of strict. Kids had to bring their homework every day.

● The punishment for not bringing your homework competed was usualy staying locked by the teacher in the class without food or water for long as the breaks used to last.

Trips and excursions At the end of the 19 th century and the 20 th century, the school trips were very short distance and not time- consuming. Kids used to go on walks. Other times they took part in competitions like relay races, basketball and football matches.

Books and materials used for teaching in the classroom and for learning at home The students were using a plate chalk in the school with a chalk and a chalkboard eraser. At home they were using a notebook, a eraser and a pencil. They bought the books by them selves.

School building, number of students in the class and school facilities The school was in the village center. The school building was a big house with two floors. The number of the students in the class was in each class. The classroom was a big room with chalkboard which teachers were wrtiting.
