Can we Modify the horizontal field magnet to work for NPS? Yes Open the yoke and reverse polarity of one coil We can make field integral for NPS However, the resulting magnet is not efficient losing about half the flux Resulting field on electron beam requires a coil that resembles the NPS coil!
