We acquire donated food, much of which would otherwise be wasted, from farms, manufacturers, distributors, retail stores, consumers, and other sources, and make it available to those in need through a network of member beneficiaries The Food Bank Singapore is an accredited member of Global Foodbanking Network HOW DOES FOOD BANKING WORK?

1. PERISHABLE FOOD Salvage excess vegetables, meat, and dairy products Redistribute to our beneficiaries immediately In collaboration with Red Mart and Kitchen Showdown, Flor Patisserie, Plain Vanilla and Odette

2. COOKED FOOD Salvage excess cooked food in collaboration with restaurants & hotels Ensure food quality through laboratory tests by partners Pilot successfully completed in 2015! National rollout projected before end of 2016 Hilton Hotel, Novotel, Marina Bay Sands

3. EXPIRED FOOD Convert expired food into Animal Feed or Biofuel Raw meat & canned meat (without sauce) can now be converted into animal feed Distributed to dog shelters, fish farms
