CLIMATE OF CARIBBEAN Attractive for most of the year December to April – warm and dry May to November – humid and wet Trade Winds – prevailing, constant winds blowing from the east across the Atlantic Ocean. More rainfall, rocky and dense vegetation Leeward – side of island protected from the wind (most hotels and resorts located there)

In early fall, hurricanes have caused much destruction in the Caribbean islands.
