2. Write down a sentence in context for the following phrasal verbs. (5 marks) JOIN IN: Eachother going to join in the fun. RUN DOWN: Do not run down the stairs. CLEAR UP: Our teachers will clear up the problem. GO OUT: I always take an umbrella when I go out. LOOK OUT: The father look out the children.

3. Explain what discourse markers are and why they are useful in your communicative skills. Also, make up two sentences with the following discourse markers. Discourse marker is an expression used at the time of talking to someone. Basically and anyway are examples of discourse markers. – "Well": Well, I would if I were a top model. – "Anyway”: Anyway, Jose. Are you going to go to the party?
