  Circa-historians are not sure of an exact date or it means “about”  BC-Before Christ (the larger the number the further away the event)  AD-After death of Christ  BCE-same as before Christ “Before Common Era”  CE-Another way to refer to AD “Common Era” Terms used with Dates
