Adding Links Links are easy to add Highlight the words you want linked Use the link icon to add the link (a box will open that will let you search for the correct page or simply type in the page URL)

Adding & Optimizing Photos Add photos by clicking the “Add Media” button Range from $19 up to $150+

Adding & Optimizing Photos 2 Once you click “Add Media” you will be taken to the Media Library. You can select from a photo already in the library or you can upload a new photo.

Adding & Optimizing Photos 3 Once photo is added, you can hover over it and an edit pencil icon will open. Click to change size, add title and alt tag, and make other changes.

Adding & Optimizing Photos 4 This is the editing page that will open when the pencil editing icon is clicked. Complete the Alternative Text (alt text) line and the Image Title Attribute using keywords to optimize.

Important Notes About Photos Must use photos that you have the rights to use. Do NOT simply pull photos from Google Images. Majority of photos are owned by someone and using them can result in you being sued if you don’t have permission to use. Photo Editing Sometimes photos must be resized, brightened, color corrected, etc. Size is a big issue. If you load huge photos onto your site, it will slow down your site load speed. Frustrating to your visitors. Slow load time counts against you in search engine rankings. Use a photo editing tool to make necessary changes. Adding Docs, PDF Files, Etc. Click the Add Media button. Upload the file you want to add to the Media Library. Once added, copy the media file LINK. Highlight the words you want to link to within content. Copy the link from the Insert Media page. Add link to the content page as you do any other.

Adding Video the Easy Way Adding video to your site directly uses band width and will drive up cost of hosting. Instead, add the video to your YouYube channel. YouTube picks up the band width – no extra changes for you. YouTube video is also very easy to add. Best yet, Google loves YouTube video – Google owns YouTube! You can also use any video found on YouTube that includes a “Share” option.

Adding Video the Easy Way - 3 Click the Share button to open. Copy the string of code that appears in the box. Paste the code directly into the Visual Editor. Click “Update” to add the video to the page.
