Sedimentary Rocks Sedimentary rocks are formed by deposition and after cementation. The particles that form sedimentary rock are called sediments, these are formed by weathering and erosion.
Igneous Rocks Igneous rocks form when molten rock within the surface of the earth rise to the surface and cool into lava.
Metamorphic Rocks Metamorphic rocks form from extreme heat and pressure under the earth’s surface. Heat is caused by magma or the intense friction of tectonic plates.
