RECOMMENDATIONS Building Confident Communities, in Partnership Encourage & support our Social Accounting Champions Explore ways for sharing our accounts (i.e. blogs, short videos, short report) Expand our ‘journey travelled’ surveys Develop our reporting and monitoring systems consistently across projects Streamline and automate all monitoring where possible Develop Customer Insight programme Continue to support TRIP encouraging progression and development

RECOMMENDATIONS continued Building Confident Communities, in Partnership Implement our Young Persons Engagement Strategy Build on the success of our World of Work Academy Map existing and potential partnerships Develop and implement a partnership strategy Launch the new Business Excellence service Align social audit with annual review

WHAT NOW? Building Confident Communities, in Partnership We will produce an abridged version We will look to share through different media Sharing the report with Champions Sharing across the business and with partners Include social auditing on agendas Starting next years process

WHAT WENT WELL? Building Confident Communities, in Partnership Enthusiasm of champions Support within the organisation Learning experience Time of the validation panel members Produced a quality report Identified areas for improvement

WHAT WE LEARNT Building Confident Communities, in Partnership Timescales were very challenging (self- imposed) We could involve the champions in the writing of the report Align to annual review Start the process earlier Canvass panel candidates early There is much to be proud of

VALIDATION PANEL COMMENTS Building Confident Communities, in Partnership “The day has been enlightening as often organisations don’t follow this type of process. It has given me ‘food for thought’ but the day has been a ‘learning curve’ on how things can be reported and discussed” – Cllr Jane Nightingale “The day has been helpful and highlighted lots of things that can be considered in the future. I feel it focused on much that SLHD should be proud of. I would like to thank the Panel and all those involved in compiling the draft social accounts” – Alan Tolhurst Chair St Leger Homes “It’s been a privilege to attend as an observer and has been a learning process for me” - Stephanie Sanderson (Social Audit Network)

VALIDATION PANEL COMMENTS Building Confident Communities, in Partnership “I’d like to thank everyone who has worked on the accounts. The social accounts have been compiled with openness and honesty. The social audit confirms the ‘huge value’ that SLHD provides to Doncaster.” – Bishop Peter Burrows “As always, I’ve enjoyed working with you all at St Leger, well done for producing this Social Report!” – Alan Kay Social Auditor
