Hellenistic Ecumene's Effect On Cities ● Is a unified urban culture encompassing vast lands and diverse peoples.

Examples of Hellenistic Ecumene ● Athens, Sparta, Thebes, Corinth, and Delphi. These rose through Alexander the great and grew to how he wanted. They were the power houses and regional capitals of the area. ● Spodek, Howard. “The World's History”

Characteristics of Hellenistic Cities ● The wealthy got richer and the not wealthy's income stayed minimal. ● Created many trade routes and traded with many countries. ● Life didn't change much if ever. They were very routine. ● “The World's History”

Hellenistic Ecumene

Roman Empire's Usage Hellenistic Ecumene changed during the Roman empire because as they grew, expanded and became wiser the roman cities became over populated and more diverse, leading to the decline of Hellenistic Ecumene. ● drdavescience.wordpress.com

Hellenistic

Greek Empire ● The hellenistic period was mostly said to have started with the conquest of Alexander the GREAT, which was around 330 b.c.e. during this time greek art and culture spread to other lands.

Greek Hellenism ● Sculptures of that time tended to be more active and intense, often in groups engaged in violent activity. One of the best examples of the style would be the Great Altar of Zeus at Pergamu. ● 0/ancient.htm
