Faire is used in many expressions. Here are some of the most common. faire attention (à): to pay attention (to) faire la cuisine: to cook faire de la gym: to work out faire une promenade: to go for a walk faire du ski: to ski faire du vélo: to go bike riding

Qu’est-ce que tu fais? What are you doing? -Je fais la cuisine. I’m cooking. Qu’est-ce que vous faites ensemble? What do you guys do together? -Nous faisons une promenade l’après-midi. We take a walk in the afternoon.

Faire de + school subject = to study the subject faire du français: to study French faire de l’anglais: to study English faire de la biologie: to study biology faire des maths: to study math

Ce soir je vais faire de l’anglais et des maths. Tonight I’m going to study English and math.

Il faut = it’s necessary, one must, “you gotta” Il faut is often followed by an infinitive.
