What kind of fear? Fear – yârê' – to fear; morally to revere; causatively to frighten. (Hebrew) Fear – phobos – alarm or fright; that which strikes terror. (Greek) Because of who God is (Job 42:2-6; 38:1-11). Because of what God can do (Matthew 10:28; Hebrews 4:1-2). Manifest in action (Acts 9:31; 5:1-11; Ecclesiastes 12:13; Philippians 2:12-13).
