 Our Focus Group  Results  Why we have result like this / what we could propose Warsaw University of Technology (WUT)

In our focus group we had: 2 persons form ISO (International Students Office of WUT) 9 Students from different faculties of WUT 1 Professor who provide English Courses at Faculty of Electrical Engineering of WUT Focus group of WUT

 Language aspect: students with origins (or have some other connections) of the country that they are going for Erasmus would like to learn in national language otherwise English is the language of choice.  Integration strong and weak points: strong – polish character, atmosphere, weak: lack of English language skills especially at halls of residence and other students – university common points Results part one

 WUT has a lot of activities for new international students: WUT exchange days, online handbook  All connection with labor market is made by Career Office of WUT (CO). Students have a wide opportunity of courses, activities and trainings.  All “extra” courses and activities are made by Students Union (SU) and CO are open for all students (regardless of origin and type of studies). Results part two

 As the university we don’t have any informal and non formal learning (the only courses like that are nonobligatory courses form SU and CO).  Tutorial system is not popular in Poland so all activities are non existent.  In general connection between English and Polish division is quite week. ISO has to solve most of the problem with accommodation and all aspect of everyday life.  We have same criteria for both Polish and English division. Results part three

 We have no influence for our halls of residence.  We are talking with ISO and University authorities about placing dedicate people in place where is connection between international students and employees of the University. What we could do
