Associated Financial Group predecessor firms are proud of their 60+ year history and growth and expansion since joining Associated Bank CFG Insurance Services in Minnesota is founded Associated Bank acquires WIM Don F. Jabas and Associates, Inc. is established Wisconsin Insurance Management (WIM) opens its doors for business. 1980s Associated Bank begins offering credit insurance and annuity products to banking customers. 1990s The Jabas Group experiences tremendous growth and opens five additional offices  AFG ranks 43 rd largest broker of US business;  4 th largest US benefits specialist; and  7th th largest bank-owned broker RJ Ahmann Company merges with David Martin Agency to form Ahmann- Martin Associated Bank acquires CFG Insurance Services, a leading Minnesota insurance agency Associated Bank acquires Jabas Group Associated Bank acquires Ahmann-Martin, a leading Minnesota insurance agency John Lochner and Scott Jabas purchase Jabas Group, Inc Ed Arnold Company starts. Richard “Dick” Ahmann, Jr. joined the company in 1957 as one- third owner David Martin begins David Martin Agency Richard Ahmann III purchases Ed Arnold Company (now wholly- owned) from his father and it is renamed RJ Ahmann Company.
