Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Policy Replaces the existing Acknowledgment Practice / Plagiarism Policy A commitment to the 5 values of Academic Integrity Honesty Trust Fairness Respect Responsibility

Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Policy Defines the activities that constitute plagiarism or other academic misconduct Identifies the importance of acknowledgement practice Identifies related resources available to staff and students Learning Development StartSmart University Learning and Teaching Course

Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Policy Subject Coordinators have a responsibility to design assessment tasks that support Academic Integrity and minimise opportunities for plagiarism; Teaching staff have a responsibility to inform their students of acknowledgement practice methods that are appropriate in their discipline and provide clear examples of what is acceptable; and Students have a responsibility to submit only work which properly acknowledges the ideas of others and which is otherwise their own original work
