Scoping the BoS Flexibility- based on in country capacity and need, the UNCT/OMT can select multiple or just one outcome area (ex. Procurement); Time Requirement: 3-6 months end-to-end over a 5 year cycle to develop the BoS, including analysis; Time requirement may be higher or lower depending on the scope of the BoS (depends on capacity available and need);

United Nations – Liberia What the BoS Innovation Project About? What BoS Project is ABOUT? BoS Project is an ICT innovation project aimed at providing internet connectivity (data and voice) for agencies with a field presence to enhance better information exchange, reporting and communications among agencies following the drawdown of UNMIL. Where is it IMPLEMENTED? The project is implemented in three counties: Bong: 165 Kilometer away from Monrovia Lofa: 263 Kilometer away from Monrovia Grand Gedeh: 296 Kilometer away from Monrovia HOW IT WAS FUNDED The project was funded by DOCO through the RC Office. It is implemented by OMT through the One UN ICT Working Group.

United Nations – Liberia It also features a MicroTeck solution that support voice over data service which enable the availability of IP- based voice and data services. This would facilitate local and international calling. What the Innovation? The innovation involve setting up a terrestrial network through a micro wave connection that provides internet connection at a reduced cost Reduce difficulties in reporting and communicating back to Country Office. It also enhance timely reporting. What the Solution? Provides internet for UNCT offices to significantly enhance internet connectivity at a reduced cost.
