JOB/CAREER FOR REALITY STORE Job Title: Dental Hygienist Gross Yearly Salary: 42,500 Job Duties: Helping Dentist with patients Education/Training: 4 year bachelor degree Demand: High

MIT COMPARISON My free choice and my forced choice are almost identical. My toughest one would be verbal/linguistic. The reason it’s the toughest for me is because I don’t like to write or read and im not good at it either. I can improve by practicing more at both those things.

MIT PROFILE PIE CHART RESULTS In the forced choice my highest score was visual/spatial. I agree with that choice because I love to draw and I can remember things as a picture in my mind. A career that sounds good to me would be a graphic designer. I have considered this as a job and would like to be one when I grow up.

BUDGET Definition An estimate of money you make to pay bill, rent, house, and car. Description An estimate of income and expenditure for a set period of time. A plan listing your income along with all the expenses or costs you have. When I get a job I need to have a budget so I’ll know when I can spend money or when I have to save.

GROSS INCOME Definition :The total amount of money you make, including all income, taxes, SS, and benefits Description: An individual's total personal income before taking deductions into account.

NET INCOME The total amount of money you make AFTER the SS Taxes, and other… What you actually bring home

DISPOSABLE INCOME Income remaining after deducting mandatory rent, bills and charges, available to be spent or saved as one wishes. (Get a latte, baby…)

TAXES Money taken out of your check for services that support govt. programs, (fireman, police, streets, teachers, welfare, food stamps…)

SOCIAL SECURITY Retirement money

MEDICARE Medical benefit for when you retire, you still pay for it, just less than usual.

IRA A financial product sold by financial institutions that is designed to accept and grow funds from an individual and then, upon maturing, pay out a stream of payments to the individual at a later point of time.

VOCABULARY CAR Loan: An amount of money a person gives you upfront to pay for a large purchase, with understanding you will pay it back over time each month. Lease: Renting instead of buying. You are “back loaded” on the monthly payment…meaning you pay less per month, but at the end, you make that up when buying it, or you have to give them back the car. Usually has stipulations, like paying for full coverage on car insurance and mileage allowance.

DODGE DART CAR Total Price: $16,495 Monthly Payment: $ year loan 4 door compact Front seat comfort Great on gas

LIFESTYLE I thought the reality store was a good experience. One of the parts I did not like or agree with was rolling the dice to see if we were married or had kids. In real life we would be able to decide if we wanted a wife or to have any kids. I liked the fact that we were able to make our own choices based on our budget.
